Creative locations: another opportunity to earn extra income
As I show people how to earn an income from the on-demand sharing economy, one of the questions I am sometimes asked is ‘out of the 150 options out there; what do you do?’
Well, good question. We offer our house to be used as a setting for TV shows, photo shoots and commercials. Aside from the income, it is fascinating to meet people who do work that is quite different to mine. I also get a behind-the-scenes insight into all the technical detail that goes into filming; a bit like the back lot tour at Universal Studios if I’m curious (or I can keep working in my office if I’m busy).
The interesting people I have met include an animal trainer who taught a cat to walk across a bridge over a swimming pool and an armourer.
We registered with the online marketplace Set Book and earn an income each time the house is used. We are sent proposals and choose which ones suit us.
Sharing our home in this way is just another example of how increased population density is making urban residential space more valuable. Combine this with on-demand technology that creates efficient online market places, making it easy to earn a side income.
Other examples of how residential space can be moneitsed include sharing parking space, storage space, backyard camping, event hosting and more.
We live in exciting times.
