Public workshop

Tuesday 27 August 2019

5:15 pm – 7:15 pm, City of Parramatta Library

By Melinda Livingstone and Dr Catherine Rickwood

This workshop will challenge your current thinking about retirement. Designed to inspire and inform, we’ll discuss the 7 keys to living a full and active longer life. You’ll discover the array of opportunities available to live a purposeful and meaningful life beyond the traditional 9 to 5 job and walk away with practical actions for harnessing the gift of longer lives.

Who should come along?

If you’re thinking about retirement, avoiding the idea, or just wondering what life could be like after, then this workshop is for you. Or, if you’ve pondered any of these ideas, we’d love to see you:

  • I don’t want to work full time, but don’t know how to create an income stream beyond my current job.

  • I’m fed up with working. I deserve to retire. Bring it on!

  • I’ve earned the right to retire. I’m looking forward to the long holiday.

  • I’m ready to stop work. I know I need to do something, but I’m unsure of my options.

  • I’m financially secure. I’ll figure out retirement and my post-work years when I get there.

  • I’m in transition, perhaps between jobs and unsure of my next steps.

This workshop is designed for people who are either contemplating retirement or in retirement. If you’re curious about what your options might be in the future, including income generation and essentials to ageing well, you’ll walk away with something to reflect upon.

Cost: $54.95
